New Patient Story

Wow! New Patient Story

Ashley has been diagnosed as having Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.   She is only twelve years old and this has been going on for almost two years. She rates her digestion as a 0 on a scale of 0-10.  She can only eat one thing – oatmeal. How does this happen? How can a ten year old get so sick?

Her story began in May of 2019.  Ashley broke her right arm and had to have surgery.  Ever since the surgery her life has been a living hell. She was on a daily dose of 40 mg of prednisone and the doctors were going to up the dosage to 50 mg, because no treatment was working. The side effects of prednisone can be devastating. Depression and mood changes, itching and hives, thinning bones and osteoporosis, severe fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, and muscle weakness are just a few of the side effects. What could the surgery have done to so dramatically change her life for the worse?  The anesthesia, used during the surgery, had disrupted her neurotransmitters and had set up a cascade of imbalances in her nervous, endocrine and digestive systems.

Two treatments with Hypothalamic Reset Technique/HRT and Ashley was back to normal.  She could eat anything that she wanted and was back feeling great – like a twelve year old should.
